Murray Lake Ride June 17th, 2023
9 Atv’s and 6 side by sides showed up for a total of 18 riders. All were eager to get going on the first ride of the season.
Passing the old Pine Falls Lodge, which is now a private set of cottages, you could see the drop in water levels between Murray Lake and Washagami Lake. This is being harnessed to develop electricity for those residents. Beyond this the going got rocky and rough but all made it through with little difficulty.
The ride up to Kelly Lake for lunch was easy going but those who had gone there in the past were surprised how the once main road was overgrown with regenerated red pine trees.
All appreciated the scenery on the ride and we returned to the parking area by 3:00 PM. It was a great day for all.
